EGIFERON^® - gel

Interferon alfa-n3 (human leukocyte derived) NATURAL -MULTISPECIES ALFA INTERFERON
Active ingredient of EGIFERON^® Gel is IFN alfa isolated from human blood leukocytes. Egiferon^® Gel is an antiviral drug effective against herpes and papilloma virus infections.

EGIFERON^® Gel is a formulation for topical administration.

Usage:  

• against herpes virus infections.
     Administration four-five times a day to the infected skin surface area. Therapy should be initiated as early as possible following onset of signs and symptoms (itching and swelling) at the prodromal phase
     Medication of herpes labialís and herpes progenitalis takes 3-5 days, rarely at a serious case 6-10 days.
• against papilloma virus infections.
     Administration four-five time a day to the infected skin surface area
    Medication of verruca vulgaris and verruca plana juvenilis takes 6-12 weeks.

No systemic side effects are to be expected after the local application of EGIFERON^® Gel.

 Composition:

50, 000IÚ interferon alfa-n3 in 1 g gel removable by water.

Each tube contains 1 x 10⁵ IU IFN alfa in 2 g gel. or 1 x 10⁶ lU IFN alfaín 20 g gel

Storage:

EGIFERON^® Gel should be stored at 4^o C at 25^o C it can be stored for 1 month only.
